About Cherngtalay
Cherngtalay is the inland community behind Bang Tao and Laguna on the west coast, around 19 km from the airport (around 20-30 mins depending on traffic). This is where much of north Phuket's everyday life happens. Porto de Phuket, a Central Group open-air mall with a Central Food Hall, is around 5 mins away, with Villa Market beside it and a Lotus hypermarket near Boat Avenue. Boat Avenue, at the entrance to Laguna, has shops, restaurants and a Friday evening market. The beach is a short drive rather than a walk: Bang Tao is around 3 km (around 10 mins). Blue Tree has a free forest park and padel courts, and Cherngtalay has several padel and pickleball venues.
Schools are a mixed picture. Only HeadStart's Cherngtalay campus is in Cherngtalay itself; UWC Thailand and Glenalmond Phuket are in Thalang, around 15-25 mins away, and North London Collegiate School has been announced for Cherngtalay with no confirmed opening date. There is no hospital with 24-hour emergency within 20 mins: the nearest are in Phuket Town and Patong, around 25-35 mins, with clinics closer.
