Laguna Phuket is a resort estate on the west coast next to Bang Tao Beach, around 20 km from the airport (around 25-35 mins depending on traffic). Inside the estate are Laguna Golf Phuket, the Banyan Tree and Angsana resorts, two Bangkok Hospital group clinics and hotel beach clubs. At the entrance is Boat Avenue, an open-air street of shops, cafes and restaurants with a Tops supermarket and a Friday evening market. Bang Tao is about 6 km of sand, though authorities cleared illegal structures from parts of the beachfront in 2026, so the beach scene is smaller than it was. The feel is laid-back and resort-residential.
Day to day, Boat Avenue is around 10 mins away and Porto de Phuket, the Central Group open-air mall with a Central Food Hall, around 5 mins, with Villa Market and a Lotus hypermarket close by. There is no international school inside the estate: HeadStart has a campus in Cherngtalay, and UWC Thailand and Glenalmond Phuket are around 20-30 mins away. The nearest 24-hour emergency departments are in Phuket Town and Patong, around 25-35 mins, and the large Phuket Town malls are around 30-40 mins.
