About Natai Beach
Natai Beach is technically in Phang Nga province rather than on Phuket island itself, just across the Sarasin Bridge that connects Phuket to the mainland. It's a ten-kilometre stretch of government-protected coastline with no high-rise resorts, no beach clubs and no persistent vendors, lined instead with coconut groves, small fishing piers and traditional villages.
The protected status restricts large-scale construction, which is exactly why the beach has stayed this undeveloped. It's still an easy trip from Phuket: under 30 minutes from the airport, across the bridge and onto the 3006 coastal road.

Frequently asked questions
Is Natai Beach on Phuket island?
No. Natai is in Phang Nga province, just across the Sarasin Bridge from the north of Phuket island, under 30 minutes from Phuket Airport.
What is Natai Beach like?
A protected, undeveloped 10km stretch of coastline with no beach clubs, jet skis or persistent vendors, lined with coconut groves and traditional fishing villages. Large-scale construction is restricted, which is why it has stayed this quiet.
Is anything new being built at Natai Beach?
Yes. IHG has signed Kimpton Phang-Nga Natai Beach, a 150-key beachfront resort due to open in 2028, a sign of the area's growing profile as part of Phang Nga's wider luxury tourism push without changing the protected status of the beach itself.
